BCS Legal, PLLC was founded in June 2019 by Attorney Bethany Szewczyk, who was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in September 2011. As a solo practitioner, she has a broad range of experience with handling complicated probate, estate, guardianship and family law matters. Her specialty is advocating for Fathers.

Marital & Family Law

BCS Legal can assist with all aspects of Marital & Family Law, whether the parties are seeking a simplified dissolution of marriage where no property and minor children are involved, or a contested divorce is necessary.  Family Law legal services also include mediation, paternity, child support, modifications, timesharing, parenting plans, contempt/enforcement and/or injunctions.

Estate Planing & Probate Administration

It is never too early to begin planning for the future.  BCS Legal can assist with preparing estate documents that include a Last Will & Testament, a Living Will, Healthcare Directive, Preneed Guardian, etc.  We can also assist if you would like to create a Trust.  In the event of you or your loved one’s death or incapacitation, we can ensure the estate is properly administered through the probate process, including securing Florida’s homestead exemption rights.

Guardianship & Mental Health

Guardianship is a court proceeding in which a judge appoints a person or entity to make decisions on behalf of another.  This proceeding becomes necessary when a loved one has been declared incapacitated, or if the individual is a minor child.  The court may also appoint a Guardian Advocate for developmentally disabled adults.  In Florida, Guardians may be appointed to manage the Ward’s person, property, or both.  Alternatively, f you are seeking to help a loved one with substance abuse issues (Marchman Act) or a mental health issue (Baker Act), BCS Legal is experienced and can help.
